10 Things That Brighten My Day!
One of the things that I work hard at, is staying grateful! So one day this past week when I was especially discouraged, I wrote down 10 things that brighten my day! It definitely brought a smile to my face and so I thought I'd share with all of you!
I have been blessed with the most beautiful, strong, determined little girls! When I feel like an incompetent mother, I remind myself that God chose, yes, chose me for them and them for me!
This one may seem kind of silly, but hear me out! I am slowly learning that if I can make mundane tasks, like scheduling my week, fun by using my beautiful Ink Joy pens or my bright, cheery Happy planner, then I am more likely to stay consistent!
These sweet messages mean the world to me! They remind me that God can use the most simple of words, through a wonderful friend, to bring me back to a place of gratitude.
You know that unexpected kiss that last a little longer than usual? That kiss that tells you, all in one fell swoop, that you are loved and appreciated?! Yep! Those are the best kisses!
I love to write. It is therapeutic for me, in many ways. But, I write with another purpose as well...To share what I have learned and to touch the hearts of rural sisters in Ag just like me! To hear that something I've written has been encouraging to even one sister, is such a blessing to my heart.
I think the sunshine feels most amazing during chilly fall days. Soaking up the sun and spending time with these 3, is an awesome privilege and I am grateful to God for each day He gives me!
The women of the Rural Sisters' Community are amazing. They are strong, resilient, determined, driven, family-oriented, Ag-loving, truly amazing women. Each of them have helped create this sisterhood, that supports and encourages each other. I have never been a part of a group like this before. I am so grateful for each and everyone of them. The majority of them I have never met, but by choosing to come together, love and support each other, we have become like sisters and close friends.
This was a beautiful morning. The fog was thick and the sun was just beginning to peak through it. I almost missed the beauty of it, because I was rushing and frustrated that I had to go back into town unexpectedly. Then I got the pick-up stuck in the river bottom on my way out of the pasture. Honestly, I snapped this picture because I thought it could be a very cool picture, but it didn't turn out like I had hoped and continued on my way not thinking twice to appreciate and be grateful for the beauty all around me. As I went back through my pictures a day or two later, I was reminded to stop and relive the beauty of it.
Chocolate!!! Need I say more?
It's amazing how God can use a quote someone shared on Facebook or a Bible verse that you didn't seek out to speak to your heart, just at the right time!
If you're like me, you just read that quote and thought, "Oh my gosh, I want to save that to remember it later!!" So I'll include the original here for you! ? Touch the picture and a "save picture" option should come up on your phone!
